It seemed very big to me at first, but I quickly got used to it. The resolution does not exceed 1920 x 1080. There are no on-screen speakers. The earplug hole is on the back of the screen. I am using this 4K curved monitor with my Mac Mini and I love it. To get 60Hz at 4K with a Mac Mini, you need the right cable. I'm using a $15 Thunderbolt/USB-C to DisplayPort cable and it works great. I assume you only get 30Hz at 4K with HDMI. I have a 32" 4k curved monitor and although I had to wait over a month for it to arrive I was dying to test it with some games. Works great, no problems so far. Given the large screen and high resolution, I think it's relatively cheap for the price to upgrade to 4k. This is just my experience, if something changes drastically I will update my review.

After it stopped working after six months I contacted Philips and they refused to honor their own warranty. They said their warranty doesn't cover physical damage to the monitor itself. I've spent hours calibrating the color and matching it to the Macbook I'm showing content from in my dual monitor situation with the colors always off.
