Review on Philips 272E1CA Frameless Adaptive Sync Replacement Monitor: 🖥️ Full HD, Tilt Adjustment, Built-In Speakers, Curved LED Display by Marcus Osman

When connected to my computer (2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro), the screen flickers intermittently and vertical stripes appear, most intensely in the top corners. The flickering/streaking appears dependent on what's happening on the screen (ie it can be playing all the time), but I'm not exactly sure what's causing it. I tested both the included HDMI cable and another 4k 60Hz HDMI cable and two ports on the computer. Also, I tampered with some settings on my computer (toggling NightShift on Mac, different display color profiles, refresh rate, screen resolution) and all sorts of settings in the Philips OSD (On Screen Display) menu. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new monitor but the problem persists on the new monitor. Other monitors work fine with the computer, so it can't be my computer. I've read on the internet about some people having the same problem but haven't found a clear solution. One suggestion is to set the computer to use the "Force RGB" color with some terminal commands, but that doesn't seem to be an option for the latest version of macOS. I thought it might be a bug in the macOS software as depending on the screen display I can sometimes cause flickering just by opening the Philips OSD, so it can't just be a bug in the signal being received from the calculator. Changing various settings in the OSD may cause the flicker to increase or decrease, but not completely go away. It's disappointing that this expensive monitor doesn't work out of the box with the latest modern computer. . If there is no flicker, the screen, picture quality, brightness, etc. are excellent. However, the flickering makes it unusable in my case.
