Review on Philips 272E1CA Frameless Adaptive Sync Replacement Monitor: πŸ–₯️ Full HD, Tilt Adjustment, Built-In Speakers, Curved LED Display by Pat Strand

My eyes love text in 4k

Bought a pair of 32" Phillips curved monitors (328E1CA) to replace the Dell 34" ultrawide monitor. I like the extra height of these monitors and the increased resolution. The text is much clearer. And 32 inches is a handy size to keep the original 4k resolution (no windows upscaling). Although I think 34 inches would be the perfect spot for native 4k. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could mount two of these on a Revain Basics Premium Dual Monitor Stand. This setup works great due to the 1500p curves of these monitors. The extra screen real estate is addictive. Not sure I can go back to an ultrawide and use two of these. I've always had IPS panels, so this VA panel took a little getting used to. I like the lack of flicker, but the colors are noticeably "different" than what I'm used to. Not terrible, but not great either. I won't have any calibration equipment so maybe I can get great colors. But right off the bat, I'm not sure I would trust this monitor with tasks that require accurate color reproduction. Text is clear but I would have preferred a lighter AG finish. It's not the worst AG I've seen, but in a room with controlled lights it doesn't make good and blurry text for me to notice. However, the text clarity is still a big improvement over the 1440p monitor it replaced. Overall I really like these monitors for the price and I would REALLY like to see an IPS version of this monitor with the same 1500p curve, no AG and 120Hz.

Pros
  • β€ŽBlack/Silver
Cons
  • Monitor colors are washed out.
