I know nothing about knives other than what the Cutco salesman told me (to sell me his knives). The prices were great but I lost them in a divorce and somehow ended up with the cheapest, worst quality knives imaginable. I mean, they will cut the steak if you work really hard at it, but they just don't work for cutting veggies or anything. I finally decided I needed something to chop veggies and just be a utility knife in the kitchen. I'm not a chef and I hate to cook so I didn't want to spend a fortune. I got this product based on other positive reviews and I have to say they were right. I really have to be very careful with this knife because it's very sharp. I don't even let my kids touch it (they're in high school) when they're cooking because I'm so scared of how spicy it is lol. Respect this knife. He is also very tall. I was able to cut everything easily and am very happy with this purchase!
