Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ CERNIT Trans Clay Translucent White Crafting: A Versatile Clay for Artistic Creations by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The old tone required a lot more conditioning than usual with Cernit, but is still usable.

Carefully packed. The clay isn't very fresh, but it's not many years old either. It requires a bit more physical condition than I am used to from this brand. If your tone is harsher than you are used to, don't consider it useless, throw it away and leave a bad review. If the clay isn't cured, it can always be saved! Is always. Here's how I do it with hard clay: heat it up and put it in your pocket or bra for a while ๐Ÿ˜†Cut into 2mm pieces and run them through the pasta machine over and over until it softens and melts. Heated rollers, no plasticine! Hair dryer if it's still crumbs. If that does not work, Put it in a clay bag with clay softener and leave it for a day. Then smash it up with a rubber mallet (love that part!) and then return to your pasta maker. If there are rock-hard bits despite this treatment, your clay has hardened somewhere along the way and you're done. However, in most cases I have found that this is not the case and no matter how complex, aged or harsh the clay was, after proper conditioning it behaves exactly like fresh clay. There's no difference in results either - it's machined, baked, sanded and polished in the same way, with no loss of strength or flexibility. Hope that helps! #save the sound! ๐Ÿ˜„ Behaves like fresh clay after proper conditioning.
