Easy pairing with Piper, not programmable, doesn't exclude my pet for some reason 3 stars for the product (1 out of 3 no longer works properly) . 2 stars for excellent after-sales customer support. Pros: - easy to pair with Piper (I bought 2) - 4 minute standby after motion detected for battery/power saving. (Jumper set to Pet1 and Pet2) - In test mode, send a notification every time motion is detected, but battery life will be reduced. (Jumper set for testing) - Comes with a clip-on mounting plate and screws so you can easily remove it from the plate when you need to change the battery or for other purposes. - small latch on back to initiate "power on mode" on pairing/erase - affordable, $55 for 2 - works even in the dark, I've been walking around the room at night with no lights on and it detects my entry and sends triggers: ) Cons : - be careful when you open the lid or you might accidentally break the red light or break your nail - a little bulky (about 2 inches deep) - a little delicate, even install a jumper to save Pet2 rule out. 1 of these was set high (11ft - 12ft) but still sends out alerts when my dog walks close to a wall (e.g. 4ft from where it is set), which is a plus and can be a disadvantage. Note: A slight improvement would be ideal. For example outdoor use, programmable idle timer. update.Update (23/02/2015): I recently bought 3 Ecolink motion sensors, 2 of them are working fine so far, unfortunately 1 of them now always stays in "open" mode, although I've tried different approaches to fix it, email Ecolink and now waiting for feedback, if any. 1) "exclude” (delete) from the main Z-Wave block and add it back; 2) tried with another battery but the problem persists; 3) tried with different jumper settings. Ecolink product support is a big plus, patient and helpful; Their representative Mike called back the same day. Walked through the troubleshooting steps together and explained how the jumper works (e.g. test mode = use more battery and no 4-minute idle timer)
