I bought this to help my leopard gecko settle into his 20 gallon aquarium and it fits perfectly. These rugs are easy to clean (I wash them in the sink and let them dry) and I love that they come with two rugs so you can just swap them out and let the other sit while it dries for you to enjoy don't have to keep your pet for too long. Reptile carpet is much safer than sand for leopard geckos as there is no risk of collision with them and he looks pretty good in his tank. The only problem I noticed is that the calcium is very high. So when I'm putting down prey for my gecko it can get a little messy, but that's purely an aesthetic issue, and sometimes when my gecko is trying to catch crickets or flour worms. He'll grab a piece of carpet fiber in his teeth and have to pull it a little to loosen it. From what I've read it's not a big deal and definitely better than the risk of sand getting in, although I'll probably switch to tile. I'd also suggest putting a paper towel in the area where your gecko defecates if you're using it on one so it doesn't stick to the carpet. Overall great product, great value for money!
