The photo shows an old iPad holder with an extension point and two protrusions in the middle. The one I received has two pairs of arms spaced as far apart as possible. The bracket that attaches to the back was an oblong block with two screws. This uses a low profile 2 7/16" surface mount that attaches with 4 screws and is much stronger. This is a great product that works on all iPad generations from the first to the Air that I have. I liked it so much I bought a second one so I could keep one in the jeep and one in the truck.
