Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Garmin Descent Mk2i: Advanced Dive Computer & Multisport Smartwatch Titanium Edition by Kyle Rock

Good albeit more expensive smartwatch/dive computer hybrid

I've used this on a number of random (air, 25m max) dives and have been impressed so far. It's a good dive computer with better connectivity and exports than some of the Mares units I've used in the past. Having GPS on the dive computer is handy for entry and exit points and the APNEA function works well. The display is easy to read on the surface and in the water. It's also a good smartwatch. I am/was a primary user of the Apple Watch and the Garmin product is impressive. Custom watch faces are much more flexible than Apple's, some tracking features are more accurate, and most iPhone alerts display well. The Garming apps are a bit messy (you need 3 separate apps) but they work. The watch's UI for customizing the watch and apps is terrible, and the logic behind the various buttons is hard to understand, but you don't really need them. The battery life is amazing, it's about 2 weeks for me. All in all it's a great smartwatch/dive hybrid. During a normal workday I will continue to use the Apple Watch, but for outdoor activities and vacations this is now my main watch.
