I'm starting to weld and decided that a basic basic helmet would do for me. Well, I've found that with this helmet glass that's always dimming and doesn't auto-dimming, it's almost impossible to see where to start welding. The moment you put it on, you won't see anything until the bright light from the electrode illuminates your work. The rest of the helmet is of decent quality - the headband is easily adjustable, it sits well on the head without weighing it down. I ended up returning it in favor of an auto-darkening helmet that is MUCH easier to use.
