As many have written, the genuine leather is of very high quality. The length and weight are perfect for my 100 lb dogo mix. (I'm 130 pounds.) No star deduction for that, but tabs only make sense to me as a visual aid of sorts. They (or their brass rivets) aren't thick enough for the loop to not tighten when I pull. I think here was a tip from someone who made some changes to it. I walk my dog and also go for walks in the neighborhood. I like to give it a try while walking, especially if it's a new trail for us. With a leash I seem to have to switch a few hands to get used to it. I don't know what to do with it, I have to ask the coach.
