Review on Garmin Constant Power Cable for Garmin Dash Cam, Enhanced Compatibility with Vehicle's OBD-II Port for Continuous Power, Even When Parked and Turned Off by Philip Lindsey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple power option with off timer

This was a fairly easy install, I usually connected the unit to the fuse panel or battery but it is possible to run the cable from the camera through the A stand to this nifty unit lead The ODB connector makes for a very easy installation to provide constant power to your DVR. A full install in my setup with the front jamb temporarily removed to route cables from the mirror where the dash cam is mounted to the ODB power supply. a little over 30 minutes. If you just want a simple "plug and play" solution that isn't permanent or "installed" I think you can just run the cable to the camera and plug in the ODB, but if you want a good one If you want installation, this is better than flushing the fuses into the panel and tapping.
