Handy device for GPS accessories

Excellent for installing a DVR in the OBD2 port instead of the fuse panel. Easy installation with convenient default power settings.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Interval

Does not work with BMW

If set for 24 hours, the car will display a message that the battery is draining more than normal, this will affect the car in the long term

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are nuances

How to plug something into an outlet

Received, plugged in, hooked up the camera (for direct power) and my Garmin. I didn't even know it existed until I read about it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Surpasses a cigarette lighter by a mile!

The cigarette lighter (and adjacent USB sockets) will turn off when I exit the vehicle, limiting the amount of time Park Mode remains active. This solves this problem!

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in black only

Simple power option with off timer

This was a fairly easy install, I usually connected the unit to the fuse panel or battery but the ability to run a cable from the camera to the A-pillar is what's nifty ODB connector makes installation very easy to get constant power supply for your dash cam. A full installation of my setup, temporarily removing the front post to run cables from the mirror where the dashcam sits to the ODB power supply, took just over 30 minutes. If you just want a simple "plug and play" solution that isn't…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Nothing here

Garmin DC Cable

I tested it for 2 days. With this device, the car battery (Honda 2021) is severely discharged (see photo) and the camera overheats. In addition, there is no connection to the camera remotely via Wi-Fi (it seems that the Wi-Fi has been switched off due to the camera overheating). Live broadcast does not work even from a short distance (there is a car under the window). I have wireless security cameras outside my home and they work with my home WiFi, but that's not good enough for the Garmin Dash

Pros
  • GPS Finder and Accessories
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Simple power option with off timer

This was a fairly easy install, I usually connected the unit to the fuse panel or battery but it is possible to run the cable from the camera through the A stand to this nifty unit lead The ODB connector makes for a very easy installation to provide constant power to your DVR. A full install in my setup with the front jamb temporarily removed to route cables from the mirror where the dash cam is mounted to the ODB power supply. a little over 30 minutes. If you just want a simple "plug and play"

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
