Review on Garmin Constant Power Cable for Garmin Dash Cam, Enhanced Compatibility with Vehicle's OBD-II Port for Continuous Power, Even When Parked and Turned Off by Danny Lavimodiere

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple power option with off timer

This was a fairly easy install, I usually connected the unit to the fuse panel or battery but the ability to run a cable from the camera to the A-pillar is what's nifty ODB connector makes installation very easy to get constant power supply for your dash cam. A full installation of my setup, temporarily removing the front post to run cables from the mirror where the dashcam sits to the ODB power supply, took just over 30 minutes. If you just want a simple "plug and play" solution that isn't permanent or "installed" I think you can just run the cable to the camera and plug in the ODB, but if you want a good one If you want installation, this is better than flushing the fuses into the panel and knocking them out.

Pros

Currently am working with Garmin as numerous issues are keeping it from operating correctly.
