Review on Track Your Heart Rate on the Go with the Scosche RTHMA15 Bluetooth Armband Pulse Monitor by Dontell Hawkins

Mismatched fitness technology

I did a lot of research before purchasing this product and despite some negative reviews decided to give it a try as it was cheaper than many other heart rate monitors. Monitors that sync with phones. Battery Life: I use this product primarily to track calorie burn during home workouts (crazy/p90x) but have used it for several hours cycling. It seems to last an hour overall, but I've noticed that if I don't charge it every night after a workout, even if it still has life, it seems to be more difficult to plug it in and get accurate readings. You have a Samsung Note 3 and it usually takes a few times to toggle the bluetooth and/or bandage on and off to connect it. It also seems to take another 30 seconds-minutes to actually get semi-accurate readings. Charger: The charger snaps onto the back of the headband. Many people have complained that it was difficult to solve them afterwards and they are right. It wasn't a big deal for me though, it just requires a little extra strength. App: All in all this app has many useful features, you can play your music from it, program 8 different saved workouts, follow your workouts in a calendar, has built-in GPS map tracking software and obviously tracks a time/heart rate graph and calories burned. Aside from the connectivity issue mentioned above, the only other issue is that your information is erased when you receive a call. Accuracy: This is obviously one of the most important aspects of a product and one of the most frustrating aspects. This works for me because I repeat these workout videos and after doing them a few times I still have a pretty accurate idea of what I'm burning even if one of them fails. However, it doesn't count properly during my workouts at least once or twice a week, sometimes it says it's plugged in, but after 4 minutes of crazy workouts my heart rate still shows the same and the other half the time, sometimes during a workout, he stops reading part of the training. Overall, for the price, this is a good product for what I intended to use it for. If I bought this for running/cycling and had the same issues, it would really annoy me.
