I have a two story house with the lower level halfway underground. In winter, the lower level stays about 3-5 degrees colder than the upper level, where the central air thermostat is located. I bought it to compensate for the temperature difference. I set the heater temp to (roughly) the temp above, and it does an excellent job of turning it on and off to maintain the appropriate temperature. The usable space is approx. 700 square meters. Feet with a large opening through which a staircase leads to the top. So far (about 35-45 outside) it has no problem keeping the desired temperature around 68-70. The main downside is that I would like them to be flagged at least every 5 or 10 degrees in the temperature settings. Some have complained about the noisy fan. I find that acceptable and to be expected from a heater. Even if it rattles a little.
