Bought for a solarium

We bought this heater to heat a small solarium. It should come with a remote control, but it doesn't. We work with the seller to get the remote control. We're still trying to figure out which setting to use, but the heater seems to be working fine for this room. The thermostat works well, it seems to regulate itself. The heater is noisy, so if you're looking for a quiet option, this might not be the best choice.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Don't waste your money on this overpriced heater!

The advantage of this model is that it is light, its shape makes it suitable for many rooms and it does not heat up outside. The bad thing about it is the price and the fact that it's not as good as the Duraflame fireplace I had last year. I have it in a room with no heating and the size is 14 x 14. It almost warms the room and it's not that cold yet! I set it to 90 degrees so it works all the time and this room is barely warm. Thought I'd upgrade by getting it for a much higher price than my…

Heats up a large room

I have a two story house with the lower level halfway underground. In winter, the lower level stays about 3-5 degrees colder than the upper level, where the central air thermostat is located. I bought it to compensate for the temperature difference. I set the heater temp to (roughly) the temp above, and it does an excellent job of turning it on and off to maintain the appropriate temperature. The usable space is approx. 700 square meters. Feet with a large opening through which a staircase…

The fan is louder than expected

Much louder than I thought. I was under the impression that infrared heaters have to be very quiet. Is it supposed to be so loud or did I get a defective device? Apart from the fan, it heats the room quite well. I've hand tested the plug and power cord to make sure they don't get hot as other reviews have said so. As long as the plug is warm. I'm not sure if it's because my house has old wiring. I'll keep an eye on that. All in all, if I could see this heater in action in a shop I'd probably…

Great products and exemplary customer service!

I like this heater. I have been using tiny Pelonis ceramic heaters (steel framed original) for years. This past winter was colder than previous seasons and the "little guys" just couldn't keep up with them (I have three of them). I began to study a new generation of "portable heaters". After extensive research, it became clear that I needed an infrared connector based on a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) design, using a copper construction PTC element. After buying from various…

EdenPure is an overpriced heating scam - that's why

Just wanted to let people thinking about buying a heater know how much of a rip off it is as is all expensive space heaters. Space heaters are limited by the amount of electricity available at your outlet. The National Electrical Code or NEC 210.23(A)(C) states that any continuously operating device must not draw more than 80% of the power for which the switch is rated. Because of this, every heater you see is rated at 1500 watts. Any higher value breaks the NEC code and the manufacturer may…
