I replaced another router that was giving me trouble with it and I have to say I'm VERY happy with it. Being a "geek" everyone knows that I end up installing LOTS of routers for friends and family, so I've seen a lot of user interfaces. A lot of the newest devices I've come across try to be so user-friendly that you basically can't set anything complicated about them - just turn them on, set an SSID and password, and the device doesn't do much more do. On the other hand, although I often use DD-WRT or Gargoyle firmware on my own routers, many regular users will have problems with it. However, this device strikes the perfect balance. When you connect you will be taken through a very simple 'wizard' to complete your entire setup and when you are done you will see the 'Basic' and 'Advanced' tabs with all the settings. It's not as advanced as DD-WRT or similar, but still everything I wanted was available (port forwarding, dynamic DNS, etc.). Speaking of dynamic DNS, TPLink offers its users a service where you can sign and register a DNS name on your servers instead of using a commercial service. This user interface, combined with the excellent WiFi signal, makes me very happy. As is obvious to most people, the wired LAN part is gigabit, so communication between my desktops near the router is pretty fast.
