I bought this remote after losing 3 Apple remotes. Is there something about this remote's design that seeps into every nook and cranny, perhaps how smooth and curved the edges are? I don't know but I was fed up with replacing it, this one was cheaper and someone mentioned that it has a certain weight that the original remote didn't have and they are right, it doesn't look elegant but it has substance. I didn't need to sync it, it worked right away, it took several weeks and never lost :)
