We found the original pump on our 1983 Evinrude OB 50HP passing through the top of the main pump seal was leaking. I tried tightening the screws but to no avail. (Hey, he's 38 so I figured it was time for a new one lol). OMC's original replacement cost over $100. We found this one so thought it was worth a try as it listed 'direct replacement'. 10 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. The engine started immediately and runs perfectly. Install EZ with a minimal set of tools. Great product at a great price!
