Urnex Dezcal 5 PackUpdate 7/28/18 to display a message on the LCD that it is time to descale. Descaler works really well. Like many others, this was my first time trying vinegar, but in my experience it's akin to taking a sugar pill. High expectations with no noticeable change. But Descal works fine. ========================= I don't understand some of the reviews here. They give 3 or 4 words that the product works and then only give it 2 or 3 stars! One reviewer gave it a star for not getting rid of the "alarm clock" on its coffee maker. Without further information, these are useless reviews that unnecessarily misrepresent the rating of the product. This product only claims to remove scale (mineral deposits) from coffee machines! If you have a different problem or expectations, look elsewhere. Despite some inexplicable negative reviews, I bought Dezcal to descale my Keurig K500 coffee maker (version 2.0). He started making "short cups" from time to time, as one reviewer described him, and I hoped Descal would bring him back from the abyss - and it did. Following the directions on the packaging, I mixed the contents of one sachet into 32 oz. water and poured the solution through the coffee maker cup by cup. I then went one step further and let the brewed solution come to room temperature and run it through the coffee maker again. As a final step, I rinsed the tank and ran two tanks of clean water through the machine. K500 now works as expected. This is a great product that does what it says on the tin and does it very well. highlighted.
