Update 9/17/2022:Lowered it from two stars to one and here is why: To ebay's credit they sent me a replacement that arrived quickly, so I swapped it out only to find the replacement was defective too, but not for the same reason. The clip that pulls out to cut power to the switch is spring loaded and won't stay in. The original switch had this same cut-off switch but it stayed in, and had to be drawn out with your finger nail, but when pressed in it stayed. So now I've received two switches with obvious QC issues which certainly takes this down a star. Really unforgivable for such an expensive switch and from a well known brand. But the story continues .In examining the first switch, the bottom micro switch felt fine once uninstalled. I decided to put it back in, but shortened up some of the wiring and tucked it very neatly in the box to prevent any pressure from wiring on the back of the switch. My theory is that since the switch body is made mainly of plastic, it is flexing and binding the front switch plate preventing it from contacting the internal switch. There definitely seems to be something to that, for upon reinstalling it the switch is working well; both top (on) and bottom (off) fires on the first press after multiple cycles. I've installed a lot of wall switches and never run into one so flaky. I'm glad it is finally working as expected, though I did have to install this three times for that result. I suspect if Belkin improved their design and QC it could be a much better switch and merit the premium price point. As it is, it does not, so it remains at a one star.------------------------------------------------------------------------Original As a wall switch it is terrible. It switches the light on, but often requires multiple attempts to get it to switch off. My video speaks for itself. I plan to return it for a replacement in hope that I got a dud, but what a hassle to swap it out and return. Certainly quality control was poor to let this switch ship, and/or perhaps just plain poor quality, which is why I gave it a 2 star score. I would have gone lower had it not been for the easy install and ability to work without a neutral wire (unlike most other smart switches). It did not add to HomeKit without some issue; code would not scan so has to enter the code. Still, once added it integrated well. From HomeKit it goes on, off and dims consistently and with very little delay. We used it in the garage where HomeKit garage door automations control it, turning on lights as the door opens and vice versa.Based on my experience I can’t recommend this. Considering the premium price this switch should be of premium quality, which it is not.
