After buying a new 4K TV, I found that the modem/router combo with built-in WiFi couldn't handle it. So I decided to get a new modem and router to have better control over the devices. This device was easy enough to set up. After installing it, I tried using Comcast's useless self-install feature. He kept asking me if I wanted to transfer the old WiFi settings as if it were a router. So he didn't let me point out that it's just a modem. So I had to call support directly. I asked the guy to reconfigure me on their system (he commented that it's a great modem and that a lot of customers are getting it) and then I waited the usual 10-15 minutes for it to work. So far I've had it for over a month and it hasn't required a single reboot. Comcast's download speed is rated at 250 Mbps, but with this modem, my speed test is around 300 every time.
