These bags are perfect for salting turkeys of just about ANY size, even the largest you can find. These durable pouches are easy to carry thanks to a complete curing solution and packaged turkey. The bag allows for easy handling in the fridge and is vacuumed over time compared to a salt storage system. The two bags in the box and the first one I used for a 15 pound turkey worked perfectly and the turkey was very well salted and ready to be smoked for Thanksgiving. . Next for Christmas! I take all my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving items and other accessories very seriously and when I test and review these items I am very critical and selective in my evaluation. I've been dreaming of a smokehouse for wood pellets for a long time. This grill fully met my highest expectations and I am very happy to give a review after a few test dishes! Big pluses: the basics. * The grill comes incredibly well packed in a heavy cardboard box. All components are professionally packaged to ensure safety and prevent damage.* With the quick and detailed instructions included, assembly is easy and takes about an hour if the instructions are followed carefully.* All parts, bolts and nuts are sealed and sealed numbered. link to instructions. Z Grills includes a Phillips head screwdriver and two matching wrenches - everything you need to complete the entire assembly. (You can use a drill press to speed up the job.) * All components fit exactly as described with no issues. Again, follow directions carefully and don't outsmart the company!* All components are well designed and reliable. Great construction and everything assembles without major adjustments. In fact, the only adjustment was to slightly offset the cover to center it when installed, as instructed in the instructions. * The wheels are amazing and high quality. Great.* An important setting is the permanent thermal thermometer on the left inner wall. The instructions state that the pipe must be 14mm from the wall for an accurate measurement. Please see the image attached to this review for a detailed location. Operation: * Follow the instructions for the first start and follow the procedure exactly as it is written in the manual. This is a MANDATORY procedure to activate everything correctly. From now on, adjusting the temperature dial will activate the auger as needed based on the internal temperature.* To sear instead of cooking or smoking, simply open the grill lid and turn the temperature dial to the highest position. The pellets will nourish and generate STRONG heat for searing. Works VERY well, and keep the lid open to grill!* As some have suggested, wrapping the drip tray in aluminum foil reduces dripping of grease and makes cleaning easier.* Cleaning the grate inside is easy and keeps the grill on top -Shape. Optional Accessories: * The waterproof case is ideal for grilling and is a great bonus. Make sure the grill is cool before installing the lid.* The wireless 2-probe thermometer works exactly as it's designed. I downloaded the app from the iPhone App Store and paired it with the thermometer with no problems. The app works well and is also available for Android.* Temperature tests showed a very close match between the set temperature and the actual auxiliary oven thermometer. Two minor quirks: 1. The description of this grill on Revain states that it includes a folding grill table. It is not. Some other Z grills have them, but not this one. Not exactly a problem, but I'm right2. One of the questions asked on this Revain page was "Can you empty the pellet hopper to change the pellets?" and Z Grills answered "Yes". No you can not. This model does not have a hatch or any other way of emptying the pellets left in the hopper under the protective grille. If I am wrong Z Grills please leave a comment and I will update this review. I am very satisfied with this pellet smoker. This is clearly as good or even better than BIG company pellet grills that cost 2 or 3 times their retail price. Assembly can be performed by anyone with even the slightest understanding of simple tools and the clear instructions in the supplied manual. The manual itself is short and very detailed for both setup and operation. It's very well done! My test cooks for this review included cold smoked wild salmon fillets, hot smoked salmon fillets, long cooked full breast followed by charred ends of dekel. Tri-tip grilled sous vide with excellent crust and finish. With apple for the salmon and hickory for the breast, things went better than expected. Overall, I give this grill a VERY HIGH FIVE STARS. The design is fantastic and works as intended with no issues. I expect to live off this grill for several years and will happily experiment with smoking and various pellets in my outdoor culinary endeavors. This is such great value for the price the company is offering, especially when compared to competing models. I have no problem giving him my honest and VERY heartfelt recommendation!
