I bought two of these for sliding closet doors, one for each door to keep our little one out of that closet. They work great. We place them just above eye level, which is far away for the younger ones. They are easy to use and even hold doors in place. For some reason we don't have a bottom track for the doors, so the doors can wobble a bit and swing in opposite directions, allowing a smart toddler (or pet) to sneak into the closet. These locks prevent that. A quick click on the "bolt" and the door is opened. Snapping it in is just as easy, just insert a "bolt" into the hole. I chose this product because a reviewer tested the latches that hold sliding patio doors in place from a hurricane. I figured this would be the best way to keep curious toddlers (and pets) out of the closet. And it is. I highly recommend them for wardrobes.
