The manufacturer is known to be defective

The pump works well and is fairly quiet. The check valve is not working properly and is known to the manufacturer to be defective. Water flows back into the reservoir from a height of only two meters at a speed of about one inch in 15 seconds. This failure of the check valve causes the pump to run more frequently, consuming additional energy. I wrote to the manufacturer's technical support. I don't understand Little Giant's valve policy that others have written about - you have enough strength to install and remove the pump under warranty, but not enough strength to use a

  • Very Expensive

I bought this pump to replace a Hartell pump that was in the house when I moved in 6 years ago. The float switch on the Hartell had failed and was uneconomical to replace (much like the entire Little Giant pump). The mounting slots are exactly the same and lined up with the existing holes where the old pump was installed. The inlet where the drain enters the pump is slightly different. If I had a flexible drain hose this would not be a problem and the installation would be a complete bolt on…
