Received the first of 4 washable filters today. I installed 14x25x1 today. Out of the box the filter was quite thick and well constructed. I referenced the packaging to see if installation direction matters. Also, how soft the filters need to be checked for cleaning, I did not find an answer to a single question. I have multiple pets and two smart thermostats. I think I can set a filter change reminder the same way I do with disposable filters and go from there. The rest of the installation was quick and easy, in the next review I'll look at how well these filters clear and reinstall. I have a real problem with wasting 90 day filters once. My only request is to add a booklet with instructions on 1. how to set if side matters to airflow direction 2. average cleaning times 3. cleaning instructions. I look forward to my update in a few months.
