I have white oak parquet floors throughout my house that are painted and sealed with satin polyethylene. The only rooms that don't have white oak are the bathrooms. All hardwoods are only about a year old. I've tried many things, mainly Bissell Crosswave (vacuum/mop) with the hardwood floor cleaner that came with it. My floors have never looked as bad as they did yesterday. It almost looked like someone had poured out an oily substance, and all you could see were marks everywhere. I have never waxed floors or put anything on the floor other than what was advertised as a hardwood cleaner (no anti-aging agent or anything). They looked awful. My son is ill and homeschooled so there have been waves of tutors coming and going over the past three months and I have never felt so embarrassed about my home. The floor looked DIRTY. I ordered the entire Bona Professional kit (cushioned mop and spray gun plus three extra spray guns and a large spare bottle) and it only recently arrived. I decided to run two patch tests including one next to two really dirty and bad areas. Patch tests look the same as the day we moved in. I AM AMAZED. All I did was spray the solution onto the patch test area and pass back and forth ONCE. It dried within a minute or two and I had perfectly clean and beautiful hardwood floors. I can't wait to vacuum and clean my whole house. Thank you Bona Professional!
