This is a card scraper. It's sturdier than anything you buy elsewhere and holds the edge very well. If you clean a lot of hardwood, this scraper will be a boon to you. Update: I've been using it for a few months now and still enjoy using it. It picks up burrs easily and lasts long until you need to resharpen. What I like the most is that because it's so thick, you don't bend a lot when using it. This means that signs of wear on the wood are difficult to see. It covers a large area. Still a good buy for a carpenter with hand tools.
