Review on ☕ Cuisinart DCC-2650 Brew Central: The Ultimate Programmable 12-Cup Coffeemaker by Kelsey Watson

Update: I've had this coffee maker for 3 weeks now and I don't recommend this coffee maker to people who program their coffee maker before bed. I have exchanged numerous emails with Cuisinart and am not satisfied with this product. I always program my coffee maker the night before to brew my coffee when I wake up. My husband noticed right away that the coffee wasn't hot the first time I used it. It's a step above warm. I asked Cuisinart and they said the vacuum jug is colder than the glass carafe and suggested warming it up by filling it with hot water before brewing the coffee. The?! It shouldn't even be necessary, and people like us who put coffee on ourselves the night before can't do it. The second issue is that the bottom panel doesn't stay as hot as I'm used to. My previous one stayed hot for 2 hours after brewing, signaling that the machine was shutting down. However, this machine will turn itself off after the brewing process is complete. An hour after brewing I poured myself a second cup of coffee and the coffee was cold so I had to reheat the coffee in the microwave. The stove is only hot during brewing, then it turns off. Unbelievable. Third, it was necessary to pour a cup of coffee in the middle of the brewing process as there is an automatic brew pause feature and no, there was no brew pause because the coffee kept pouring and sloshing onto the rest/heat plate. I'm starting to think I have a lemon product. With our previous Cuisinart glass carafe coffee maker, the brewed coffee was hot and stayed hot for 2 hours. I replaced my old decanter with this one because I broke the glass decanter 4 times in 10 years of owning it so I wanted to use a thermograph to save money. This product is useless for us and now I want to buy another one. So much for savings. I received my coffee maker on a Monday and have made coffee 3 mornings in a row. I always make 6 cups of coffee for me and my husband. This coffee maker replaces my old Cuisinart with glass carafe. I've replaced my glass carafe 3 times so thought it would be wise to use a stainless steel thermograph. My husband and I immediately noticed that the coffee wasn't as hot as with our previous Cuisinart coffee maker. Our previously brewed HOT coffee required us to wait a few minutes for it to cool in our cups before drinking it so as not to burn our mouths or throats. With this new Extreme Brew coffee maker, that problem doesn't exist. The coffee is colder and we can take a big sip right after pouring. Another thing I noticed is that when I refill my cup after an hour, the coffee gets cooler and the stove is almost cool. I'm starting to think I bought the lemon product.
