Simple, fast, consistent.

Let me clarify a few things. I've been drinking coffee EVERY DAY since I was 5 years old, back in the 1950's. I make coffee for my family every morning when I get up. Drip coffee machines do a great job of brewing quality coffee. Coffee machines usually last me about 16 months, then something goes wrong, the heating element, a leak, something else. The last maker I owned was the Cuisinart brand, which held me for over two years. That's probably 750 pots of coffee. So I bought this Cuisinart…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

There are complaints that the coffee cools down too quickly. I bought a thermograph and as long as you take the carafe out of the kettle it stays warm for hours. I think some expect the coffee maker to stay on with the hotplate, but you need to keep warm by removing the carafe for the mechanism in the lid to seal. A coffee maker has the carafe lid open so coffee can get in. It closes when removed from the kettle, which also retains heat. This is described in the instructions. The coffee maker…

Big Disappointment

I bought these because I wanted a coffee maker with a good thermos. Cheaper options are available, but I assumed this Cuisinart unit would be an improvement. Unfortunately, I have found that the vacuum jug does not keep the coffee warm very well. After about an hour, the coffee has cooled down enough that I heat it up again in the microwave after pouring a cup. It's clear that most of the heat escapes through the lid and plastic top. Other problems - it's difficult to pour water into the tank -

It's a really good coffee maker

I've had this coffee maker for a few months now and Revane keeps trying to get me to say something about it. So I'll offer a few words. Very good coffee maker, brews good coffee. I can use either the basket (included) or the #4 paper filter to grind my coffee. It signals the end of coffee preparation, whether normal or dark. It has programmable options that I didn't have to use. It looks great on the counter. The only downside for me is that if I remove the pot while brewing it has an erroneous

I love this coffee maker and one day my disappointment ended with .

The "AUTO ON” and "AUTO OFF” functions are NOT hours! The time displayed when the dial is turned to the "AUTO ON" position is simply the time on the clock. • The "AUTO OFF” setting is a timer that measures a DURATION, not a specific time. • The buttons are next to each other and mean that "AUTO ON" is the time the coffee maker will turn on with the "PROG" setting (which is correct) and "AUTO OFF" is the time it will turn off ( Is not it ). "AUTO OFF" is a timer that measures how long the coffee

Coffee not that hot

Update: I've had this coffee maker for 3 weeks now and I don't recommend this coffee maker to people who program their coffee maker before bed. I have exchanged numerous emails with Cuisinart and am not satisfied with this product. I always program my coffee maker the night before to brew my coffee when I wake up. My husband noticed right away that the coffee wasn't hot the first time I used it. It's a step above warm. I asked Cuisinart and they said the vacuum jug is colder than the glass…

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • I won't say anything
