I've never owned an orbital sander, only a ¼ sheet palm sander for woodworking projects. But I knew I needed an orbital sander to refinish a flight of stairs in our house. Most of the sanders I was looking at cost much more, in the $60-$69 range.I couldn't be more pleased with this sander, especially at a $38 price tag. I really like the dust bag collection feature. I had no idea such a thing existed until I saw the guy we hired to refinish the hardwood floor in one of our rooms before we moved into our current house. Using this sander with the dust bag attached is not even close to using my old palm sander, which has no such feature. I always had to wear a N95 dust mask to use that one (of course, N95 masks were almost impossible to come by for a year or so, so I stopped woodworking when I ran out). I would estimate that the dust bag on this Kekoy sander collects about 85% of the dust. It also has the option (and an included adapter) to attach a shop vac to collect even more. I didn't use that, as just using the dust bag was so much better than I am accustomed to, I'm still at the point where I'm amazed by that. The sander is easy to use, has a reasonably long cord, and does the job like a champ.As I said, this is my first orbital sander, so I have no frame of reference for comparison. However, I can definitely say that it suits my needs to a tee and I really can't see where I would need anything more.
