Pros: Price and no return of core Cons: Package The alternator I received had the bracket bushing sticking out too far which prevented the installation of this unit. I solved this problem by pushing it back with a C clip. Also, the flanges and socket of the mounting bolts were misaligned, preventing the bolt from slipping. I had to remove the case and adjust the alignment. So it's not a big deal for the mechanics, but if you're trying to save a few bucks by doing it yourself, then be prepared to "make it work," or have a friend who is good at such things. I'm not sure if anything I did would void the warranty. Otherwise, maybe get one from your local auto parts store in case you need to return it for another the same day and get your car back on the road. It's been installed for almost a week at the time of writing this review and seems to be working well so far.
