Fantastic for the money (Windows 10)

So for under $3 you not only get working WiFi, you get amazingly fast and stable too. First, I do NOT recommend this for mission critical machines. . I thought I could say the same about Wi-Fi in general. So when I say "surprisingly fast" it runs at the expected speed without any problems. This device has 150 Mbps, which means 75 outgoing and 75 outgoing. It keeps the file transfer speed constant between 8 and 9.3 Mbps, which is 85 to 100% of the rated speed. Fiction! I've attached a screenshot of the transfer of my music collection through this adapter, which totals around 50 gigs. During that time there were no dips, no hiccups, no significant slowdowns as you can see in the picture. This was now done about 10 feet from the router with a straight site line. How about far? Well my son has a computer that connects to a TV to watch YouTube and such. It is on the completely opposite side of the house, across at least two walls and the kitchen. It can keep the connection perfectly and stream YouTube content in 720p and has been doing so for about a year. (At 1080p I'm not sure, TV only 720p) But that it works in this range as well and works consistently is impressive. Well, that's a caveat. All of this was with our Asus RT-AC68U in a Windows 10 environment. Smaller routers or other operating systems may not have the same success I've expressed here. I've seen a lot of people complaining about Linux drivers, but IDK. In short, if you're looking for a cheap, tiny Wi-Fi adapter that doesn't need to reach really high speeds, this is fantastic for the money! I would advise anyone with multiple computers with Wi-Fi to keep an extra one or two in case their Wi-Fi adapter fails or for diagnostic purposes. If you want maximum range or maximum speed, budget upwards of $3.
