This was the first time I tried any type of product similar to this one. So even though this review is attached to this specific brand/version it is likely I would feel the same about all brands. I just don't like this product. I've tried every way to use that I can think of. I had shoulder/back pain. The best I can say is that this product is a decent portable heat pad. But only decent because it is "Portable". It doesn't get warm enough for me and the heat dissipates rather quickly. Freezing it works ok, but the chill also doesn't last that long. And this thing is heavy! Using it around my neck and/or shoulder area I would notice the weight after a few minutes as it was uncomfortable. No matter how I tried to stand, sit, lay with it, it just became increasingly uncomfortable. Maybe it's possible that I didn't use it correctly, but that was my true experience with it over several weeks.
