This was the THIRD garbage bag I've recently purchased! (WHY is it so hard to find a plain CAR BAG?!) I had to send two others back (one because of a defect, one because of an incorrect sizing description) so maybe I kept this one because I just got tired of doing it question. But I regret that I have ordered it now and have probably spent money on a bag that I will be replacing soon. I don't have a lot of kids or other people riding in my car so I didn't need anything big. I had trouble finding one that was long enough (it should be 11-12 inches long) which, aside from not being too big, is the main reason I considered it. The elastic top opening to prevent items from spilling out sounded like a good idea as I recently spilled a drink from my old bag and made a mess that took a lot of effort to clean up (had to remove the rug, clean it) . in the tub, let it dry, clean AGAIN, let it dry again.). But the elastic is so tight and the hole so small that I really have to strain to put EVERYTHING in - a huge distraction in traffic. Also, it's difficult to find a good place to hang the bag in the car; It doesn't dangle from the shifter without obscuring the two cup holders on the front console, which I should have noticed if I wasn't so impatient. The material seems solid enough, and the roll-out bottom that closes with Velcro makes emptying a little easier than some others. I just vented my frustration and bought a design I wasn't supposed to have.
