bought a Crane Stand last year and used it at a lot of gigs (I play about 50-100 a year) - and it worked Great. This is a very solid piece of hardware. Last month I decided to buy a second stand (of the same model) so I don't have to disassemble my home gig setup. Well, this new one seems like the parts (the levers that tighten the stand) are cheap. did. It fell apart during a concert and my laptop almost fell over. I almost got it back but I was able to fix it myself. So for now everything works fine and the second purchase was much cheaper. If you buy one, you can pay a little more for the Pro version, or just double-check that everything is working properly before you put a $1,000+ laptop on it.
