Review on ๐Ÿ–ค Black Metallic Wall Mounted Handrail for Indoor/Outdoor Use - Kenosha Iron, 2 ft Wrought Iron Hand Rail Railing for 1 or 2 Step by Albert Bohimia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice strong handrail

Nice strong handrail. My only complaints; It wasn't a main Revain item so I had to pay shipping and the frame didn't come with mounting hardware. Silver screws, which you can get at the hardware store, spoil the effect of the black paintwork on the rail. Luckily I had some dark 1/4" x 3" screws from another project. I needed to attach the handrails to a plaster wall and none of the holes lined up with a bolt so I used lead cement anchors which seemed to work fine. Update 3/24/18: Very happy with this handrail, very nice to have a grip when climbing stairs. Update 12/12/18: The cement anchors I originally used to attach the handrails kept coming loose, so I removed them and used two "Wingits" expansion anchors instead. I painted the silver screw head and washer black to match the handrail color. So far it seems to be attached very firmly to the wall, each wing is rated at 300 pounds so it should be able to easily handle the loads placed on the handrails. (Note: the handrails should ideally be attached to the wall studs.) I'll update the review if I run into any issues.
