I use an iphone 8s with an otter box to protect it. To install it on the controller I need to remove the Otter Box from the phone. With it this is not required and I can customize it the way I want. Also with the Otterbox I can't use the factory cable that connects the controller to the phone. This allows me to attach a longer cable to the mount and attach it with velcro so it doesn't dangle or snag on anything. I think it should be personal
