Mediocre quality. Works HOT. Potentially dangerous.?

Right out of the box I found the fit and finish a bit off. Some of the ports are very narrow and the USB ports are inconveniently placed. This seems like a build quality issue to me as I have never had this issue before with anything else and have orbited the sun over 50 times. And I just realized yesterday that this sucker is HOT. I pulled out the flash drive and it was uncomfortable to touch. So I checked one of the ports and it hit 106 degrees Fahrenheit. I've used many other USB hubs and never knew any of them got even a little warm. Now I'm nervous that this thing will fry something I've plugged in, or worse, set it on fire. And of course Revain's return window closed yesterday. FWIW, I don't use it for charging, just like a USB hub with a couple of external hard drives and two flash drives plugged into a computer that I rarely use. It doesn't seem like it should be too onerous. I contacted Atolla customer service and they replied but at the same time dismissive which was not reassuring. So while I might be stuck with this thing I'll buy another hub from a different brand and see if I have a better or similar experience.
