Right out of the box I found the fit and finish a bit off. Some of the ports are very narrow and the USB ports are inconveniently placed. The hub seems to be of good quality. To turn off the slots, press and hold the power button next to the slot for a second or two. The indicators turn off when the slot is powered off. The power supply does not actually supply power to any of the blue ports. It looks like the AC power is only powering the red terminals. Be careful when plugging anything into the blue ports (which can transfer data to and from your computer). The power supply drops, causing power outages and permanently damaging the external hard drive. You will notice that the blue lights will blink in this case.
