Review on πŸ”Œ Atolla Powered 11-Port USB 3.0 Hub with 7 Data Ports, 4 Smart Charging Ports, On/Off Switches, and 12V/4A Power Adapter - USB 3.0 Splitter for Enhanced Performance by James Naylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The third USB 3.0 hub I bought.

The hub seems to be of good quality. To turn off the slots, press and hold the power button next to the slot for a second or two. The indicators turn off when the slot is powered off. Data transfer is a solid 10 MB/s. You can't change the color of the LEDs (at least I haven't found a way). The "legs" are totally inadequate to hold the hub in place. This unit did not come with a mounting solution that is easy enough to mount with double sided tape. So far there is no "return" through the hub to my computer. Both hubs I previously bought had "reverse feed" performance and both "failed" after about 6 months of use. I have not run a full stress test on this hub. A nitpick: the power cord and USB port for connecting to the computer are on the "bottom" of the hub. So if you have it on your desk (which most likely is, since there are no mounting brackets), the words will be upside down or on its side, otherwise the power cords and USB cables will come out the front of your desk (damn my anal stinginess ). The front and back of the hub are metal while the sides are plastic. It would give 5 stars if there was a mount option. I'll update this review in about six months (or sooner) when this hub hits me. .Edit: 2 weeks. I have two ports that are not responding. They do not turn off devices, transfer data or charge them.

Pros
  • Instant expansion and ultra-fast sync
Cons
  • Vulgarity
