Good for English Muffins

I've been starting to bake English Muffins a lot lately and wanted something I could use to cut and shape dough rather than trying to find odd objects around the house who could help with that . same. It's about what I'm looking for - a good size for the task and obviously designed for exactly that purpose. I would warn a potential buyer of a couple of things. First, none of the edges of the ring are particularly sharp, which is probably good for safety and looks a lot like a cookie cutter, but the difference with cookies is that you don't have to worry about them being "blown off". . I would have liked a slightly sharper edge so I could cut the cupcakes without breaking the yeast dough as much. Second, they are very thin. I don't see this as a problem but just be aware that you have to be careful not to bend etc on them. Finally, the description suggests that you can also use it for dough or eggs, but that's actually not the case. They're great for English muffins, but liquid seeps through the base, which (perhaps due to the thin rings) doesn't lie flat on the surface of the pan, nor does it lend itself well to moving the pan. egg/dough/etc. around in the pan to prevent sticking. I think I'll have better luck trying it myself. All in all, I bought these for cupcakes and they work well for that purpose (aside from the fact that I wish they were a little easier to cut). I wouldn't count on them, but for the price, there's not much to complain about. If you're looking for the same, I'd recommend these if you don't want to spend a lot and small flaws don't bother you - very little if you're just using them as cupcake rings.
