They do what they have to do

They are stronger than I thought in the reviews. Both ends are twisted very tightly. I tried using butter on it and the dough was sticky. Used vegetable oil spray and they immediately slipped off. Good value for money.

Perfect buns! for kitchen and dining room

These rings are great! I use some oil to lubricate the inside, they pop out so easily when you turn them over. Wash and dry quickly, they come back in the box - no rust. They are very strong. I recommend them if you're making English muffins or crumpets!

Pros
  • Easy assembly

  • Not everything is as good as it says

They work! best in muffin and cupcake tins

I made 3 batches of these into crumpets and they worked great. For the first batch, I used the recipe on the box of muffin rings. Don't do this unless you want real English muffins like the ones you get at McDonald's here in America. The 2nd and 3rd time were successful (a baking soda and a baking soda - see picture) and the rings did what I needed. I recommend spraying them with canola oil every time you use them.

Rusted before I even used it.

I hand washed these but they sat in the sink for a few hours before I got them. They were slightly damp in the sink and rusted before I even washed them. I can't use it because of rust. They didn't sit in still water, and it didn't even occur to me that sitting with other dishes would rust them. I'm frustrated that I'll never use them, so I don't really get to know how they work.

Cook the perfect breakfast

After watching the Japanese hot cake recipe video, I should have received a set. I've always wanted to make English muffins from scratch, but wasn't sure I would use them often enough. And damn it was my turning point. I fill each ring with about 1/4 cup of pancake batter and it comes out perfect. I tried the scrambled eggs but I had to partially cook them first and then put them in the ring. A beautiful egg came out. Haven't tried English cupcakes yet, but I'll be sure to buy another set to…

it's very fun and EASY

What nonsense! If you haven't tried making your own English muffins or crumpets before, this is super fun and EASY. I used the recipe for pancakes from the internet. It took about 10 minutes to prepare the batter (something like a pancake batter that uses yeast instead of baking powder). Lubricate the rings with oil, put them in a pan, pour in the batter and fry until the bubbles burst on top, like pancakes. Remove the rings with a fork or tongs, turn the cake and brown for a minute. Voila! An…

Very happy with the casserole dish

I have to say that after reading some of the reviews here on Revain I was very reluctant to order these rings. But after looking at other similar products on here and the reviews people had given them, I realized what the heck. I ordered a set of these rings (I'll end up wanting three sets) for $5.49 and free shipping with Revain Prime. They were delivered ahead of time and packed in a very sturdy box which I intend to keep for safekeeping. I bought these specifically to bake English muffins…

Good for English Muffins

I've been starting to bake English Muffins a lot lately and wanted something I could use to cut and shape dough rather than trying to find odd objects around the house who could help with that . same. It's about what I'm looking for - a good size for the task and obviously designed for exactly that purpose. I would warn a potential buyer of a couple of things. First, none of the edges of the ring are particularly sharp, which is probably good for safety and looks a lot like a cookie cutter, but

Rust, rust, rust on baking tins

This product is good value in many ways. Yes, the description warns you that you should only hand wash these rings and dry immediately when finished. The fact of the matter is, even if you follow this advice literally, these things are short-lived. Apparently the rivets are to blame. I've used these rings several times to make Japanese style pancakes and despite hand washing and towel drying these rivets (and eventually the area around them) have started to show obvious signs of brown rust. not
