I have a 2020 MacBook Pro 13 "M1" that has a hidden native "feature" that it doesn't have more than one display (Beware of Gen- products). This dock offers multi-display support in combination with the DisplayLink Manager, but knowing that it will NOT work in clamshell mode (which is a compelling use case for running a workstation) is still not an option. I suspect the only option is to move the Apple Silicon MacBook 2nd Gen. Google several ads for the MacBook M1 and you'll see vague workarounds but no mention of the clamshell limitation until you add "clamshell" to yours Add search criteria Unfortunately I had to return the product However it is a GREAT product - it's just that Apple was too eager to release products based on the M1 , while it was very annoying and restricted. Nature" was swept under the carpet.
