Review on ๐Ÿšด Serfas RX Exerciser Bike Seat by Jim Moody

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than the seat that came with the Airdyne AD6

This is the only seat I have tried so I have no real reason to say it is the most comfortable seat on the market. Is it more comfortable than the seat that comes with the Schwinn Airdyne AD6? The cactus is more comfortable than the seat that came with the AD6. What was Schwinn thinking? All I can tell you is that Schwinn's seat made me feel like I was sitting on napkin and concrete. Also, I slipped (forward) a lot at the standard angle (straight). When I tilted it back to compensate, it arched my back too much and cut off all circulation to my male parts. Not a comfortable feeling. I ended up feeling like I wasn't getting the workout I wanted because I was too busy to interrupt my workout to get out of my seat. Schwinn dropped the ball here on an otherwise amazing machine. Serfas Exerciser bike saddle: I don't slip anymore and it's much more comfortable and feels like it's much more breathable than a Schwinn seat. I don't know if I'm slipping because of the fabric on the seat or because of its ergonomics. Tonight I plan to do his first full workout. I will update this review later. Jason######UPDATE######### As I suspected, I lasted twice as long on my Airdyne and probably could have lasted longer if the movie I saw during my workout would not have ended. There were times when I actually felt like I was sliding forward as if I was in the old seat, but it only took a small correction to make up for that. You can also recline the seatback many smaller degrees (up to fully upright) to compensate, but I'll probably leave my seat alone. Good fit. Probably not the softest, but it's enough for my Airdyne.

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Safety
