I bought this for my AMD FX-8350. With my case fans and co., I still had problems keeping the temperatures below 70Β°C under full load and thought it was the fault of the series fan. I bought it based on many people's recommendations. Benefits1. My computer doesn't get hotter than 55Β°C. It always is. Even if Prime95 runs for hours. Of course my room has air conditioning in the summer, and it's obviously cool from the window (improperly insulated bay window in the bedroom), so my room is always cooler, but I'm proud of it anyway.2. The lowest temperature I've seen is 25 degrees. It was idle and the bedroom was very cold. Still impressive. At normal temperatures, it is idling at 30 s.3. Decent size and design. I had it for about a year and it was flawless. Sometimes you need to remove some dust, but otherwise flawless work.4. PWM so you can control fan speed (Software required, I'm using AI Suite II because I'm using ASUS Mobo) Cons1. Back pain when installing if you don't remove the motherboard. It is possible. I installed it on mine without removing the module from the case but damn it's a real pain. This is probably the best air cooler available for less than $50. I'm sure Noctuas and other more expensive air coolers have some advantages. For $35 this is a great air cooler.
