I bought this BenQ monitor as an upgrade from the Asus 27 inch 1080p IPS display. I mainly use it for gaming, both on PC and Xbox One, as well as streaming Netflix/Hulu and general web browsing. I've only been using this for 6 days at the time of writing this review, but I'll make a few key points from my experience. FPS games make a big difference. 2. There are no built-in speakers, but there is an extra port so you can easily use your own speakers or headphones. 3. This is NOT an IPS panel display. I find this VA black color isn't as deep and accurate as IPS, but it's still on par with many other gaming monitors I've seen from other big brands. 4. The monitor does not come with a standard DP to DP cable, which you need to get anything over 60Hz at 1440p. It includes DP to Mini DP, plus standard HDMI and USB-C cables.5. I had no issues with HDR on Windows 10 as I saw in some other pre-purchase reviews. The monitor seamlessly switches between HDR and my custom non-HDR settings when using apps that don't support it.6. The monitor goes to sleep and wakes up when the input devices are turned off/on.7. It comes in a ridiculously large box. Overall I think this item is a bargain for the price it is being sold for. I am definitely happy with my purchase and have no problem recommending it to anyone. If you're having trouble making a decision, just pull the trigger. You will not regret it!
