When my retractable pole broke in a rental unit I figured I would have to replace two brackets in the tub (suitable brackets). It was a quick and easy decision. Under the sink, I unscrewed the old screw that connected the broken rod, inserted this rod, inserted it into the existing mechanism, raised it a few centimeters and tightened the screw. Total repair time: 5 minutes. It took longer to find the item on Revain than it did to fix it. It looks perfect and does not stand out even with a neighboring sink. Viola.
