Don't try to use it for the wrong character test. This meter is anything but stable at 1A. The readings fluctuated so much that you had to chase your tail to find the amp's boost, which isn't even there. Compared to the Amazond the other tech had. I work in the automotive industry as a technician and am looking for something inexpensive to test. You won't find this testing tool here. The test leads were fine and the voltage test was the same. So if you are looking for a cheap multimeter, get this one.
